MindWorks has worked with the RYA for many years to help deliver its Dinghy & Watersports Show. This prestigious annual event for the UK sailing and watersports community brings together governing bodies, brands, clubs, athletes and enthusiasts for a weekend of product showcases, expert talks and community engagement.

Appointed to deliver the live content experience for the show at Farnborough International, our brief was to design and build three simultaneous, high-quality stage experiences, including management of full audio-visual production and the speaker programme.

The key challenge was to maintain consistent AV performance, manage varied content formats and provide a highly professional speaker experience aligned with the RYA’s reputation.

MindWorks delivered an end-to-end event production solution, combining stage design, technical management and programme coordination.

We planned and oversaw the build of three dedicated stage areas aligned with RYA branding and event aesthetics, ensuring layouts supported visibility, audience flow and acoustic performance.

Speaker programme management included advance coordination of schedules, presentation materials and technical requirements, with on-site facilitation of speaker briefings and rehearsals where needed.

Our technical production team managed all AV elements, including sound systems, microphones, presentation displays and video playback. Presentations were checked in advance to prevent compatibility issues, with live transitions between sessions carefully controlled to minimise downtime.

During the event, we provided continuous monitoring and real-time troubleshooting, working closely with organisers and venue teams to ensure uninterrupted delivery across all stages.

A smooth and professional multi-stage programme was achieved across the full event, reinforcing the RYA’s position as a leading authority in dinghy sailing and watersports.

Audiences benefited from clear, engaging and well-managed content, while the technical reliability and professionalism of our delivery received highly positive feedback from organisers and speakers.
