Hampshire & Isle of Wight Air Ambulance (HIOWAA) is a vital charity providing life-saving emergency care across the region. To continue their mission, they needed to raise £3.6 million for a new, state-of-the-art airbase. They required a compelling campaign to engage the local community, encourage donations, and bring their vision to life.
We created Operation Airbase, a bold and strategic campaign designed to maximise visibility and support fundraising efforts. Our work included developing the campaign name, identity, and key messaging, along with a strategic rollout plan to ensure consistency across all communications.
To bring the campaign to life, we designed a suite of marketing materials, including a presentation slide deck, banners, leaflets, posters, out-of-home adverts, an animated logo, and branded stationery. We also produced a four-page advertisement for Eastleigh Borough Council’s newsletter, tailored to resonate with the local audience and drive further engagement.
Recognising the importance of visual storytelling, we created high-quality 3D artist impressions of the new airbase. These showcased key areas such as the aftercare room, crew bedroom, winter garden, hangar, and medical preparation room – helping supporters and stakeholders envision the impact of their donations.
“There has been something really special about this project, and I think it is probably down to MindWorks pouring their heart, soul and enormous talent into this work.”

The campaign successfully raised awareness, strengthened community engagement, and generated significant fundraising momentum. By combining strong branding, targeted advertising, and engaging visual content, we helped HIOWAA communicate the urgency of their appeal.
We’re proud to support HIOWAA’s mission and look forward to continuing our partnership as they bring their new airbase to life.
